Program Details

Patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers* are invited to join The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for an afternoon of education and connection through this free virtual program
 
Dr. Latoya Townsend-Nugent of Montefiore Health System will discuss what it means to be a cancer survivor and provide tips and strategies for practicing self care in survivorship, with a particular focus on physical activity and managing the late effects of treatment. Following the presentation, a panel of blood cancer patients and survivors will share their experiences and engage in a moderated Q&A.
 
In addition to learning about survivorship and self care, participants will also learn about the resources available in their community and those provided by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  Caregivers and family members are encouraged to attend.
