About the Event
The 42nd Symposium on Pesticide Formulation and Delivery Systems: Building the Future of Agrochemicals for 2030 and Beyond will be held October 18, 2022 through October 20, 2022. The symposium is organized by ASTM Committee E35 on Pesticides, Antimicrobials, and Alternative Control Agents, and will be held at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, New Orleans, Louisiana, United States in conjunction with the October standards development meetings of the committee. The language of the symposium will be English.
Objective and Scope
This symposium will provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of formulation and application technologies associated with pesticides, biopesticides, micronutrients, and adjuvant products (agrochemicals). Primary attention will be directed to presentations related to:
• Global regulatory trends impacting agrochemical formulations
• Formulation technologies to improve agrochemical applications and efficacy
• Application technologies related to improved pesticide applications and drift reduction
• Product stewardship, sustainability, and safety
• Physical and chemical test methods related to crop protection products
Other topics of interest include but are not limited to; innovative crop protection chemicals to improve safety and sustainability, innovative application technologies, innovative farming techniques and innovative delivery systems.
Who Should Attend?
This symposium is targeted to individuals and companies involved in the development and/or research of agricultural, turf and ornamental pesticide, biopesticide, and nutritional formulations, chemistries and application and delivery systems in the agricultural and turf and ornamental industries. These entities also tend to be the stakeholders and interested parties.
Publication Information
Symposium presenters are required to submit a paper to the Selected Technical Paper (STP), an online and printed, peer-reviewed publication for the international scientific and engineering community. After the final selection of abstracts has been approved, the ASTM Editorial Office will send authors’ instructions via email. Manuscripts to be peer reviewed for the STP are due online no later than February 3, 2023 at the ASTM Editorial Office. The corresponding author (the author who is the main contact with ASTM Headquarters) will receive a copy of his/her paper in portable document format (PDF). All published authors will have the opportunity to purchase reprints of their papers at a nominal cost. Only those papers submitted by the manuscript due date will be included in the STP.
Please note that all submitted papers are subject to single blind peer review and will be submitted to the Library of Congress with an ISBN number and will be reviewed for inclusion in the Web of Science's Conference Proceedings Citation Index (CPCI) and Google Scholar.

Continuing Education Units
Symposium attendees interested in receiving 1.2 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) must complete the CEU application form in the back of the program booklet and email it to symposia@astm.org. You must be registered and have attended the entire event in order to receive the CEU’s. A certificate will be sent to the attendee approximately 2 to 4 weeks after the symposium concludes.

CANCELLATION/CHANGE POLICY: At the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel, notice of cancelation must be received 3 days prior to day of arrival in order to avoid a charge. Failure to do so will incur a penalty equal to the cost of one night's room and tax.
