CONTINUING EDUCATION

The ACMA 2023 National Conference will offer continuing education (CE/CME credits) and learning for physicians, social workers and nurses with sessions featuring the following practice care settings:

    Conference Objectives:

  1. Identify strategies to engage physicians, case managers, transitions of care partners, managed care providers and interdisciplinary team members to effect health care change. 
  2. Recognize opportunities and apply innovative approaches to coordinate patient-centered sustainable longitudinal care.
  3. Demonstrate cultural awareness, advocate, and evaluate the impact of social determinant inequities.
  4. Implement approaches to promote patient engagement and self-management within multiple settings. 
  5. Recognize common barriers and apply strategies to manage complex relationships between health care stakeholders, patients, families, community partners, managed care, and providers.
  6. Apply best practices, standards, and tools to consistently validate appropriate utilization, necessity, level, and quality of care.

EARN UP TO THE FOLLOWING CE/CME HOURS

We anticipate that you may earn up to the following continuing education (CE/CME hours) for the Pre-Conference and Main Conference. Please note: the total number of credits available varies depending on the discipline and attendance format chosen (in-person or live stream).

In-Person:

  • 13.5 | Nursing and Social Work Contact Hours (50 or 60-minute hour)
  • 13.5 | ACM, CMAC and CCM Recertification Credits
  • 13.5 | CME - AMA PRA Category 1 Credits

Live Stream:

  • 9 | Nursing and Social Work Contact Hours (50 or 60-minute hour)
  • 9 | ACM, CMAC and CCM Recertification Credits
  • 9 | CME - AMA PRA Category 1 Credits

CCM: Through a collaborative agreement with the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC), ACMA educational activities and the corresponding credits are acceptable for CCM renewal.

Please Note: The ACMA 2023 National Conference will offer attendees an option to attend sessions live in-person OR virtually from their preferred location. Attendees may ONLY choose one format and can ONLY earn CEs for each session once. SOCIAL WORK CONTINUING EDUCATION

ASWB-ACE & NASW

Where identified, sessions in this conference are approved by Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program as part of the individually approved conference, ACMA 2023 National Conference, approval # 1524, offered by American Case Management Association. Regulatory boards are the final authority on conference sessions accepted for continuing education credit. ACE conference approval period: 3/30/2023-3/30/2025. Social workers participating in this conference may receive up to 11.5 credits, which include 9.5 general continuing education credits and 2 ethics continuing education credits.

This program is approved by National Association of Social Workers (NASW) (Approval # 886621095-5385) for 12.5 continuing education credits. 


PHYSICIAN EDUCATION

PIM/ACCME: This program is approved by Postgraduate Institute for Medicine (PIM) an accredited provider of ACCME for 13.5 continuing medical education credits.

METHOD OF PARTICIPATION AND REQUEST FOR CREDIT

Virtual Session Completion Requirements:
  • Must log in to session on time.
  • Must attend full session.
  • Must complete/submit an electronic evaluation.
  • No partial credit will be given.

Course Access – Virtual Attendees

Log in / Session access information will be emailed the week prior to the conference.

 

In-Person Completion Requirements:
  • Must sign session sign-in/out sheet upon entering and leaving session.
  • Must attend full session.
  • Must complete/submit an electronic evaluation.
  • No partial credit will be given.

 

Request for Credit – Applies to both Virtual and In-Person Attendees

You will receive an email from ACMA 1-3 days Post Conference notifying you that the electronic evaluation is available. Detailed login instructions will be listed in the email. Once you log in and complete the online evaluation, you will have immediate access to download and/or print your CE Certificate.

 

Please Note:

Attendees are responsible for verifying that the approving organizations listed above are accepted by their state’s practicing board. Unless otherwise noted on the CE certificate, attendees are also responsible for submitting their earned continuing education credits/certificates to the appropriate accrediting and/or certifying organization(s) to maintain their individual certification(s), recertification(s), licensure(s), etc. As required by applicable boards, a copy of this certificate and evaluation form will be retained by ACMA for a minimum of 7 years after the course concludes.
