Junior Fellow Menstrual Product Drive
Friday, September 23 - Saturday, September 24, 2022
Help Reduce Period Poverty in New York State
Inadequate access to menstrual hygiene products impacts many people across the U.S. In a study published in May 2021, 2 in 5 people with periods say they have struggled to purchase period products due to lack of income at some point in their life, with a 35% increase in between the years 2018 and 2021. There are also large racial inequities in accessing menstrual hygiene, further exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
District II Junior Fellows across NYS have come together to create a menstrual product drive. As part of this state-wide drive, we will be collecting monetary (GoFundMe) and product donations at the Annual District II Meeting that will be equally distributed to the following shelters across the state:
Please consider helping us by making a donation while attending the Annual Meeting. Thank you!
