Postponed – Niagara Falls Trenchless Roadshow 2020

May 19 to 21, 2020 Scotiabank Convention Centre

Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

On Monday March 16, 2020 the Scotiabank Convention Centre announced on their website the following statement.

“Following the Province of Ontario’s recommendation to immediately suspend all gatherings over 250 people, events scheduled for the immediate future will not proceed until further notice.”

Since our event is in the immediate future and we will have over 250 attendees, CATT and Benjamin Media have proactively decided, that we have no choice, but to postpone the 2020 Trenchless Roadshow to a future date to be determined.  Subsequent to the announcement by Scotiabank Convention Centre above, the Province of Ontario has recommended to suspend gatherings over 50 people.

This decision has been made for the safety of the public, event exhibitors, attendees, and personnel and to ensure that we host the best possible industry event.

CATT and Benjamin Media would like to thank all Trenchless Roadshow Sponsors, Exhibitors, and Program Speakers for what was shaping up to be our biggest and best event to date.

We ask for your patience as we work through our next steps.

Over the coming weeks, next step details will be communicated via emails to all sponsors, exhibitors, and registered attendees and through website updates.

We thank you for your understanding during these unprecedented and uncharted times.

Best Regards

Please join us to celebrate the end of social distancing and exciting recent trenchless industry advancements.

Now that we have a new date for 2021, we will be communicating with all our sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and registered attendees about our plans to continue to grow and promote this show to be our biggest and the best show to date.

Over the coming weeks, we will be contacting speakers to confirm their participation and will announce the revised program as soon as possible. We have a lot of work to do and we are excited to do it and to get to work on it.

To continue to promote the Trenchless Technology Roadshowwe are also proud to announce that we will be launching a new series of monthly webinars – known as the Virtual Trenchless Technology Roadshow.

These 60-minute-long webinars will be free, as an added show bonus, to all show sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and register attendees.  For those not registered with the TRS show, each webinar will cost $50 for CATT/UESI members and $75.00 for non-CATT members.   Thus, people registered with the TRS Roadshow will receive at least a $500 value at no cost, as a thank you for their continued support.

The Virtual TRS webinar series will highlight program topics, speakers and exhibitors registered with the TRS show in 2020.  The first webinar, which is to be announced shortly, will be on May 20, 2020 the same day the TRS Roadshow 2020 was to be held.

We will be contacting all sponsors, exhibitors, speakers and attendees next week with additional information on next steps and how to get a refund should you require one.

Please feel free to contact CATT or Benjamin Media should you have any questions.

March 30th, 2020 : Trenchless Roadshow Update

COVID-19 has created an unprecedented challenge for the world. Our thoughts are with you, your family and loved ones as we navigate our way forward on this unforeseen journey.

We thank you all for your patience as we work through our next steps. CATT and Benjamin Media are now working with the Scotia Bank Convention Centre and the Marriott on the Falls to establish a new event date. Once our revised contract is in place, we will let you know with big excitement so we can all get together in a safe and welcoming environment to celebrate.

As we are adjusting to the new working from home conditions, we are also working on new and innovative plans on how we will continue to promote and enhance the TRS Show. More exciting news will come on this once we establish the new Show date. At that time, we will also provide information on how to get refunds should you want to do so. We appreciate your patience as we work through this.

It is our understanding that Marriott on the Falls has released the room block and is not charging any cancellation fees. We have also heard from some exhibitors that did not book their rooms directly with the hotel that they are being charged a cancellation fee. Unfortunately, we can not help you if you did not book directly with the Marriott on the Falls.

Please be safe, calm and healthy as we all do our small part by continuing to work at home, isolate and maintain separation when we are out. Together we will beat COVID-19.

March 23rd, 2020  Accommodations Update

This past week CATT and Benjamin Media staff have been busy working on how to proceed with the Trenchless Roadshow and our next steps. As soon as we can, we will make an announcement of our new and exciting plans.  We thank you for your patience and understanding in these very fluid and continually changing times.

On Monday we informed the Marriott on the Falls and the Scotiabank Convention Centre, in writing, that we are postponing the TRS 2020 Niagara Falls Roadshow due to COVID-19.  As you can imagine both the Marriott and the Convention Centre have been hit with many March, April and May event cancellations that need to be carefully addressed.

On Friday we were informed, by a conference attendee that when they tried to cancel their Marriott hotel booking that they were told by the Marriott that would be charged a cancellation fee and that the event organizers needed to cancel the event room block with the hotel.

We ask for your patience as the Marriott is working on all these cancellations. We also want to let you know that you should not be charged a room cancellation fee.

We are in close contact with the Marriott and will inform you once they have released our room block.

Once again thank you for your understanding and patience in these trying times.
