Target Audience

This accredited CE activity is intended for oncologists, pediatric hematologist-oncologists, nurses, and oncology social workers involved in the care of patients with hematologic malignancies. 
 

    Learning Objectives

    After completing this accredited CE activity, the participant should be better able to:

    • Describe common childhood blood cancers, including AML and ALL 
    • Identify signs and symptoms of childhood blood cancers and diagnostic tests
    • Explain treatments, including the role of clinical trials, and LLS PedAL, a precision medicine clinical trial for pediatric AML
    • Describe management of short- and long-term side effects of treatment and the importance of follow-up care plans
    • Describe psychosocial and survivorship challenges and resources to support children and their families
