TERMS AND CONDITIONS

PAYMENT 

Conference fees are in Australian Dollars and inclusive of 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Australian Business Number (ABN): 23 083 489 463. 

Full payment of fees is required within 7 days of registration and must be made prior to the Conference.  

Parks and Leisure Australia accepts the following payment methods:  

  • VISA, MASTERCARD and EFT. 

  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments to be made to:  Westpac BSB: 035-039 Account No: 39-1790.  

Please use your invoice number as a reference and send a copy of your remittance advice to  finance@parksleisure.com.au

VOLUNTARY CANCELLATIONS 

Voluntary cancellations received in writing prior to 12 July will receive a 100% refund less an administration fee of $100 ex GST. Voluntary cancellations received in writing after 12 July will receive a 50% refund less an administration fee of $100 ex GST.  No refund will be given after 13 August; however, an alternative delegate may be substituted. All cancellations and substitutions must be made in writing to events@parksleisure.com.au 

COVID CANCELLATIONS 

The health and safety of Conference attendees is our highest priority. PLA is mindful of the health risks posed by COVID-19, and the importance of following official medical advice with respect to social distancing, practicing good hygiene and staying at home when unwell. 
If, on medical grounds, you are unable to attend the Conference, you must cancel your in-person attendance in writing by email to events@parksleisure.com.au. A full refund may be provided at the discretion of PLA; however, proof of a positive result will be asked by way of a medical certificate or PCR positive result.  Please notify the Conference Manager at events@parksleisure.com.au immediately to advise you will not be in attendance.

CONFERENCE POSTPONMENT 

Parks and Leisure Australia may cancel or postpone the Conference due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to Acts of God, terrorism, war, strikes or industrial action, fire, explosion, inevitable accident, breakdown of property, changes in law, pandemics or global health crises.  Due to the nature of the event, it may be reasonable to postpone the event to a later date or the following year.   

In the event of postponement of the Conference, PLA will transfer the registration and guarantee the same conditions and equivalent registration entitlements (subject to reasonable modification and availability) at the rescheduled event.  If, at a later date, you then choose not to attend the rescheduled Conference, PLA will not be required to refund any part of the Conference registration fee but will accept substitutes in your place which must be received in writing. 

COVID-19 COMPLIANCE 

All participants at the Conference will be required to comply with the COVID Safety Guidelines and protocols in place with the venues and the Conference which will be aligned and compliant with all relevant Government health advice at that time in the state the conference is being held. By registering for this event, PLA reserves the right to provide your contact details to authorities for the purposes of contact tracing and any other relevant Government requirements. 

Details of the protocols and requirements will be available on the website and all registrants will be bound by these requirements. 

PRIVACY 

Australia introduced the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000 in 2001. Parks and Leisure Australia comply with such legislation which is designed to protect the right of the individual to privacy of their information. Information collected in respect of proposed participation in any aspect of the conference will only be used for the purposes of planning and the conduct of the conference and may also be provided to the organising body or to organisers of future events. It is also usual to produce a 'Delegate List' of attendees at the conference and to include the individual’s details in such a list. 

INSURANCE 

Delegates are strongly advised to secure appropriate travel and health insurance. Delegate registration fees do not provide any such insurance coverage. Parks and Leisure Australia accept no responsibility for any loss in this regard. 

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY 

By registering, participants acknowledge and consent that during their attendance at 2022 Parks and Leisure Conference their image or voice may be recorded via video, photograph or by any other means (“recorded”) by an officer or official of PLA 2022 which may be distributed or published at the discretion of the Organisers. If you do not wish to be recorded, you are required to indicate this during the registration process. You are encouraged to remove yourself from situations where filming is underway. 

GROUP REGISTRATIONS 

Group registrations are available for a minimum of 5 up to a maximum of 10 attendees registering and paying in one transaction from the same organisation.
