Program Description

The Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) program is available to a wide range of burn care professionals and provides kowledge for immediate care of burn patients up to the first 24-hours post injury. This program supports emergency preparedness and mass casualty incidents focusing on triage, burn survivability, prioritizing transport of patients, and patient treatment. This program will be a combination of lecture and practice burn injury scenarios ending in a written exam that must be passed by a score of at least 80 and successful completion of an individual burn simulation scenario.

The American Burn Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The American Burn Association designates this educational activity for 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM.  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

American Burn Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission (ANCC) on Accreditation.
