Program Details

Carlos Bachier, MD, is the Medical Director of Research and Cellular Therapy at Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. Dr. Bachier will be presenting on Chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR T) therapies.

Treatment options for blood cancer patients are changing rapidly in recent years, and more providers are now considering CAR T-cell therapy. We invite you to join this free, virtual education program on CAR T-cell therapy updates to determine if is a treatment option for you.

CAR T-cell therapy is a new treatment for various blood cancers including lymphomas, leukemia and multiple myeloma. CAR T-cells utilizes the patient’s own immune cells to fight cancer cells. This treatment has revolutionized the management of patients with various blood cancer that are resistant to other treatments. In this presentation we will describe CAR T-cell therapy and indications.  Finally, we will discuss new advances and available clinical trials.

In addition to learning about CAR T therapy, participants will learn about the resources available in their community and those provided by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We encourage you to invite your caregiver and family members.
