ABOUT THE
CONFERENCE

David A. DiLoreto, Jr., M.D., Ph.D.

I invite you to attend the 66th Annual Ophthalmology Conference in Rochester, New York. We look forward to this year's meeting as we welcome guest faculty from the top of their sub-specialties. The 66th Snell Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Emily Chew, M.D., Director of Epidemiology and Clinical Applications at the National Eye Institute. We are excited to learn about the insights she will share with us in the treatment of age-related macular degeneration.

I also bring exciting news that this conference will mark the third Frederick Dushay, M.D., Distinguished Visiting Professor Lecture. The lecture honors the work of long-time Rochester community ophthalmologist and resident educator Fred Dushay. It will be delivered by Mildred Olivier, M.D., Professor of Ophthalmology and Assistant Dean of Diversity and Inclusion at Rosalind Franklin University and Chicago Medical School.

This year's program also includes a superb panel of lecturers from our own faculty of internationally renowned experts. We are pleased that many presentations will be in a new format: Hot Topics in Ophthalmology Pro vs. Con. Here the audience will be invited to participate in lively debates. Our program for allied health professionals and ophthalmic technicians features a single track of fast-paced presentations aimed at delivering skills-based information to improve performance in your exam, diagnostic, and operating rooms.
