Overcoming imposter syndrome and building executive presence as a professional

Have you ever struggled to build your confidence, credibility and sense of belonging within the B-school career service or recruiting environment? Have you ever felt like a phony and thought it is just a matter of time before the students, and others, find you out? 

If yes, you are in good company as up to 70 percent of people will have experienced these moments at some point in their lives. This sense of not belonging is called ‘Imposter Syndrome’. It is associated with limiting beliefs and behaviours which, if left un-checked, can negatively impact on our ability to be seen and valued as a credible careers professional.

The good news is that with a healthy level of self-awareness, appraisal and personal coping strategies we can keep the ‘imposter’ at bay. You will leave this workshop with a greater level of clarity on the proactive steps you can take to build your executive presence and confidence as a careers professional.
