UConn Cares: Forever Proud, Forever Involved, Forever Invested in Our Communities!

Join the UConn Cares event series and be a part of something bigger. Your dedication, pride, and investment in volunteering can ignite change and foster a legacy of compassion.

Every April, UConn alumni unite to help their local communities and celebrate their Husky pride. You can volunteer at a shelter, collect items for those in need, clean up a neighborhood park, or join another service project. It’s all about harnessing the power of UConn Nation to make the biggest impact.

Many UConn alumni remain actively involved with the UConn Cares community service initiative. Their experiences highlight the enduring commitment and positive change that come from our collective efforts:

    • “This event helps a lot of people who might otherwise go hungry. It’s also a great opportunity to be with UConn alums, some who I’ve known for many years and others who I’ve met for the first time.”
    • “It was great to meet former Huskies and work to help a great cause. Notably, there were many of us helping and people kept asking if we were friends or worked together and were shocked to find out there was a group of enough Huskies in the Philly area to come out and help -- a nice level of recognition.”
    • “It’s a great program! And I love that I can feel so connected and participate even when not on campus.”
