Santhosh Sadashiv, MD

Dr. Sadashiv earned his medical degree from India in 1998. After completion of internal medicine residency in New York and geriatric fellowship in Massachusetts, he was in private practice before pursuing a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Allegheny General Hospital. Dr. Sadashiv joined the faculty of Allegheny Health Network Cancer Institute, Division of Hematology and Cellular Therapy in 2014.

Dr. Sadashiv is Assistant Director of the Cell Transplantation Program in the Division of Hematology and Cellular Therapy at Allegheny Health Network, West Penn Hospital and Clinical Assistant Professor at Temple University School of Medicine.  He is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and Oncology, and is involved in management of patients with various disorders who require therapeutic plasma exchange treatment.  He is also Associate Program Director of Allegheny Health Network Hematology/Oncology Fellowship Program.

Dr. Sadashiv focuses on treatment for multiple myeloma and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.  He has special expertise in plasma cell dyscrasia and related disorders.  He is a principal investigator of clinical trials and has been involved in a number of research projects in multiple myeloma and plasma cell dyscrasia. He has published various articles, abstracts and poster presentations in the field.
