Program Details

This program will provide attendees with essential information to help you participate more actively and confidently in decisions about your Multiple Myeloma treatment and survivorship. Myeloma patients and caregivers will gain a better understanding of:

• Myeloma treatment, including standard care and clinical trials

• Strategies to make informed decisions about treatment

• Tips for communicating with your health care team

• Strategies to manage disease and treatment side effects

• Resources and services offered by LLS

We will also discuss the LLS Myeloma Link Program that is focused on raising awareness of myeloma in the African American community, as black Americans have twice the incidence rate as white Americans. The outreach program provides information and resources, including connecting patients to expert care. Recent studies find that Blacks are less likely to receive the latest myeloma treatments, including transplants. LLS is working to change that.
