The ISA 2022 Annual Conference will be held in Malmö, Sweden 12-14 September at the Clarion Hotel & Congress Malmö Live.
All roads in the gorgeous southern province of Skåne lead to Malmö, Sweden. The perfect blend of old-world charm and ultra-modern cosmopolitan vibes, this seaside city offers something for everyone.
Sweden’s third-largest city revels in contrasting the old and the oh-so-now: from the gabled Dutch-Renaissance buildings of Gamla Staden (the 'Old Town'), to the unapologetically modern architecture of Västra Hamnen's redeveloped waterfront. Here, Scandinavia's tallest building twists its way skyward, gazing down over the vast Öresund bridge – both modern engineering marvels that reflect multicultural Malmö's progressive outlook.

Since many attendees will be traveling from all over the world to get to the ISA 2022 International Annual Conference, we have tried to answer some of the many questions you might have. Please feel free to contact us at conferencereg@isa-arbor.com if you have any additional questions!
Information for travelers in regards to Covid-19
Here you will find restrictions and recommendations about traveling to and staying in Sweden. As this kind of information may be due to change quickly, you need to check what applies to relevant authorities before traveling to Sweden.
Fly to the right airport
Attendees should fly into the Copenhagen airport (Kastrup). Malmö does have an airport but it is very small airport with few international flights. It is better to fly to Copenhagen and take the train to Malmö. The train ride is just 30 minutes, and any border check entering the country is completed on the train by providing your passport to officials.
For more information on how to travel to the conference please review this provided Travel Highlights Flyer.
Cash isn't king in the Nordic Countries
You will not need any cash when visiting Sweden! The Nordic countries, and Sweden in particular, have started to abandon cash as a form of payment and you can read more about this via this link. The conference hotel is also completely cash free, so you will not be able to buy anything with cash at the venue. All main restaurants, shops and bars will accept payment by card.
