Program Details

Please join LLS and Genetics Counselor, Samantha Carr, for a free virtual education program for patients and their families. During this informative program, participants will learn that although anyone can receive a cancer diagnosis, some people face a higher risk for certain types of cancers due to their genetic make-up.  Hereditary risk factors will be discussed, as well as the role of the genetic counselor in helping patients understand their risk assessment, genetic testing, and managing risk or the disease itself.

In addition to learning about the cancer risk and genetics as they apply to blood cancers, participants will learn about the resources available in their community and those provided by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  We encourage you to invite your caregiver and family members.
