Arrival Procedures
If you are travelling by air, when you arrive at the airport, please proceed to the Baggage Claim area where a travel representative will greet you with a Vision in Action sign. Pre-arranged transfers have been organized from Toronto Pearson and Billy Bishop airports to The Fairmont Royal York Hotel on group dates only.
If you are arriving by car, please arrive at the front entrance of the hotel and have the hotel Valet service park your vehicle. Valet parking costs will be covered on group dates only.
If you are arriving by train, please retrieve your bag, proceed to the Main Concourse at Union Station where a travel representative will greet you with a Vision in Action sign. The Fairmont Royal York Hotel is right across the road from Union Station. You will be met on the Main Concourse and escorted over to the hotel.
Throughout the day, Vision in Action recipients and guests will arrive at the hotel and will be greeted at the Vision in Action Hospitality area on the Mezzanine Level (one floor up from the ground level). At this time, you’ll receive your room key, name badge, hosted activity and other pertinent event information. Refreshments, light snacks and entertainment will be available for your enjoyment.
Hotel Check-in
We look forward to welcoming you and your guest to the Fairmont Royal York Hotel! Although check-in time at the hotel is 4:00pm and your guestroom may not be ready prior to that time, we invite you to join us at your leisure to enjoy your arrival experience (including activities and refreshments). Depending on your arrival time, your luggage can be stored and the remainder of the afternoon is yours to enjoy.
Welcome Event

| Dress Code: | Casual attire - dress for a fun, informal evening. Jeans are accepted. |
Join your host, Kenn Lalonde, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, TD Bank Group, along with other TD executive hosts, for a welcome evening you won’t forget! The evening begins with cocktails in the foyer of the Canadian Room, followed by dinner.

Breakfast

| Dress Code: | Casual attire - jeans are accepted. Warm coats and comfortable shoes are recommended if you are walking to your activity. |
Join your fellow Vision in Action recipients and guests for a private breakfast in the Canadian Room.
Hosted Activity Day
Refer to the activity confirmation you received at check-in for details on your departure location and times.
If you selected the Spa activity, a portion of the stipend you receive prior to travel can be used to cover the cost of lunch. Please note that the Spa activity takes place outside of the hotel.
All other activities include lunch.
After your activity ends, enjoy the remainder of the afternoon at leisure, or drop by the Vision in Action Hospitality Desk for suggestions on places to visit in Toronto.
Evening Off Property

| Location: | Various – please check your personal itinerary for details |
| Dress Code: | Cocktail attire. Shoes suitable for walking are recommended as you will be walking a short distance. Layers are recommended as you will be outside for part of the evening; a warm winter coat is ideal. |
The evening will begin at the hotel with cocktails with other Vision in Action recipients from your line of business.
You’ll be having your photo taken with your colleagues, so dress to impress.
After cocktails, you’ll be escorted to a nearby restaurant for dinner.

Join your fellow Vision in Action recipients and guests for a private breakfast in the Canadian Room located on the Convention Level of the hotel.
Lunch will be covered by the stipend.

Enjoy your day at leisure. Drop by the Vision in Action Hospitality Desk for suggestions on places to visit and things to do in Toronto.
Gala Evening Event
It’s time for you to shine! Festivities begin with a cocktail reception in the Ballroom (Convention Level). Dinner and dancing to a live band will follow in the Canadian Room (Convention Level).

| Dress Code: | Formal attire - dress pants and a jacket and tie, formal dress, pants suit, blouse and skirt. Tuxedos are not required. |

Note: A departure notice will be placed in your room this evening. Please read it carefully as it contains important information about your departure. Details will also be available at the Vision in Action Hospitality Desk located on the Convention Level of the hotel.

Brunch

| Dress Code: | Casual attire - jeans are accepted. |
Enjoy the day at leisure until your time of departure. Check-out time is 12:00pm. Please ensure that you check out of the hotel and settle your incidentals account prior to your departure for the airport.
If you are departing after check-out, please bring your luggage to the bellman where it will be stored until you are ready to leave the hotel.
