Weather
Get ready to explore the city in the heat. In June, it will be warm, humid and sunny. Daytime temperatures in June range between a low of 22°C (mid-70’s°F) and high of 35°C (lower-90’s°F).
What to pack
Austin’s casual attire is born of necessity, dealing pro-actively with a humid desert climate. Smart-casual and casual-wear take precedence over business clothing to account for the weather. The city can get quite hot and humid in June, and you will often find air conditioners set at very cool temperatures indoors (typically between 60-65°F). We recommend you account for these changes in temperature when packing. Here are some suggestions:

Conference fees
A C$20 ground transportation fee per attendee (total of C$40 if you bring a guest) will be applied for all ground transfers during the official Global Investment Summit agenda. A separate fee of C$75 per person will apply to guests participating in our guest program.
Please note that you are responsible for booking and paying for all transfers outside of the official agenda and airport transfers at home. The cost of a taxi to and from the airport to the Fairmont Austin hotel is approximately US$30-$40. RBC GAM will not be offering organized airport shuttles as the cost of the shuttles would be more than the cost of a taxi. The conference fees listed above are fixed and will not change.
When you completed your online registration, you were asked to provide your credit card information. This will act as your pre-authorization for RBC Global Asset Management to charge your card accordingly. All conference fees will be charged after the Summit and a formal receipt will follow by email in July.
Guests
Guests are welcome and may attend all meals, as well as participate in the scheduled social events. Please note that we are not able to accommodate more than one guest per person or anyone under the age of 21.
Guest program - Thursday, June 7 (registration required, CA$75 per participant)
