Join us for an exciting talk reviewing the medication-related information for the top-ten list of burning questions for providers in long-term care given by Dr. Emily Hajjar. 

Dr. Hajjar is a Professor in the Jefferson College of Pharmacy at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Hajjar earned her Pharm.D. at Duquesne University and then completed a pharmacy practice residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York.  She then completed a geriatric pharmacy specialty residency at the Minneapolis Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center, followed by a geriatric pharmacotherapy-epidemiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy.  

Dr. Hajjar currently serves as the program director for the Jefferson College of Pharmacy Population Health Pharmacy program.  She also provides clinical services to the Jefferson Family and Community Medicine Center for Healthy Aging Practice as well as to the Kimmel Cancer Center Senior Adult Oncology and Outpatient Supportive Care clinics.  She has published a variety of peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters on topics of polypharmacy in elderly patients and geriatric pharmacotherapy issues.  She is a past recipient of the Jefferson College of Pharmacy AACP Teacher of the Year Award, Dean’s Faculty Achievement Award, and the Thomas Jefferson University Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award.
