Passport Information

U.S Citizens must have a valid passport. It is required that your passport be valid for at least six (6) months beyond your scheduled return travel date, which is September 2023. Your airline ticket MUST match exactly the name on your passport. Please visit the following sites for more information on applying for a new passport or renewing a passport. Please apply for your passport as soon as possible, as the process can take up to 18 weeks to receive or renew your passport.

If this is the first time you are applying for a passport, you MUST have a certified copy of your birth certificate. It MUST have the official raised seal of the city, county, or state where issued or printed on security paper with a watermark. If you do not have a certified birth certificate copy, telephone the government records center of the state where you were born for instructions on how to obtain one. In most states, birth certificates are available online for a fee.

Many countries require sufficient space in your passport for Immigration Officials to validate your arrival and departure with a stamp. Having two blank pages in your passport at all times is recommended.

It is your sole responsibility to identify and obtain all required travel documents and have them available when necessary. No compensation will be given to individuals who fail to bring proper documentation.

COVID-19 Travel Advisory

Due to the global COVID-19 disease outbreak, the CDC recommends that any person who is considered "high-risk" for contracting the virus, avoid traveling to an area where the COVID-19 virus is ongoing. Please visit the CDC website or the U.S. Embassy website for the most current information regarding travel notices specific to the Dominican Republic. These pages are updated frequently based on the status of the virus containment in the Dominican Republic.

Effective November 8, 2021, the CDC requires fully vaccinated passengers, regardless of citizenship, to show a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test taken no more than three days before they board their flight to the United States. For passengers who are not fully vaccinated, the rules will tighten to require a test taken no more than one day before departing to the United States. Airlines must deny boarding passengers who do not provide documentation of a negative test or recovery.

* If you recently recovered from COVID-19, you may instead travel with documentation of recovery from COVID-19 (i.e., your positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample taken no more than 90 days before your flight's departure from a foreign country and a letter from a licensed healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel).

The Mitel Hospitality Team is closely monitoring this requirement and will update this site with any changes as they become available. Should the policy still be in place in March, 2023, we will ensure testing is available for all guests at the hotel at no additional cost to the attendee & guest.

If you have any specific questions or concerns regarding your travel to the Dominican Republic, please contact the Mitel Hospitality Team at info@mitelreachthebeach.com or +1 (972) 661-6441.
