Hybrid meetings & external visitors at WCO

In line with the recommendations by the Belgian authorities, the following rules will apply for all external visitors entering WCO building (regardless of the purpose of their visit):

  • When entering the building, visitors will need to present to the security guards a Covid Safe Ticket or equivalent proof of vaccination, a recent negative PCR test or certificate of recovery in order to get access.
  • Access to the building will be denied to any person who:

- Shows symptoms of a respiratory illness (e.g. sneezing or coughing)

- Has been tested positive for COVID-19, or has been in known contact with a person whose infection with COVID-19 has been confirmed, and who has not yet received confirmation from a medical practitioner that the infection no longer/does not exist.

We ask everyone to apply due diligence in this regard.

  • In the meeting rooms, social distance will have to be respected (so not all seats are to be used). An exception could be made for delegates being part of the same delegation, if they so wish.
  • All visitors will be requested to wear face masks in situations where social distance cannot be respected and while using the building’s common areas.
  • Visitors who have tested positive for COVID-19 within a week after visiting the WCO HQ are requested to inform the Secretariat immediately (marc.bruneau@wcoomd.org and reception@wcoomd.org), including on any contacts they had while in the building, to ensure proper contact tracing.
