Remote Access - STI/SPFA SP001 AST Training Course (10-90)

Able to interact with the instructors and tank professionals for questions.

STI has been developing an alternative education model since the pandemic started.  For the first time, we will offer an online option in association with NPTI for the SP001 Training course from Baltimore December 6-10, 2021. If you are not able to attend for traditional in person instruction, this option allows for remote access learning.  Not to worry if you choose the remote class, both groups wil be able to interact with the instructors and tank professionals for questions. 

The remote access option fees are listed below; no early bird rate is offered:

REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS:

  • Remote attendance required EST 8 am - 4:30 pm each day (This is a live class and not on-demand)
  • Stable Internet
  • Camera & microphone are installed for class participation and exam proctoring.
  • Log in half an hour before the class starts on the first day to ensure connectivity
  • During the exam, you’ll have to be at a private location with no distractions

Meet the Instructors 

John has been teaching the certified AST inspector course for the Steel Tank Institute since 2008 .  He is the vice president for Dananet Engineering, Inc near Baltimore area.  He has multiple accreditations and a wealth of knowledge relating to real world problems. analysis, corrosion and environmental projects. Certifications include: API 653 Inspector, NACE Specialist , and STI – AST Instructor.
