Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I register for the virtual conference?
If you are a NCOA SCSEP subgrantee, your fee is waived. Please follow the registration instructions that have been emailed to you.
I am an Administration for Community Living Chronic Disease Self-Management Education or Falls Prevention grantee. Does the virtual conference meet the requirement for attending a grantee meeting? What do we do with leftover funding?
Yes, the grant funding allocated for the in-person conference can be used to register for the virtual conference. This event satisfies the requirement to attend one grantee meeting per grant year. Funding allocated for travel and hotel accommodations can be used to support other grant needs or to register additional participants for the virtual conference.
When will I receive the instructions for attending the virtual conference?
The Age+Action team will send you the necessary instructions several weeks before the event. Make sure that the email address associated with your registration is accurate, so there is no delay in receiving our communications.
Can my computer or mobile device handle the virtual conference?
Most up-to-date computers and mobile devices such as laptops, desktops, and tablets are capable of running the virtual conference. Once the conference homepage is available, you will be able to perform a System Check that will analyze your internet browser, internet connection, and network settings to ensure they are optimized for your viewing experience. Live technical support will be provided if you need it.
What days or times will feature live sessions?
We are working to finalize the schedule, and we will post an updated agenda in March. All live sessions will be held on June 6-8, 2022. Sessions also will be recorded and available for viewing later. Be sure to check www.AgeAction.org for titles of sessions and speakers, as presentations may change.
What if I am unable to participate in the live sessions?
If you are unable to tune in for the live broadcast, you can access the recordings by logging into the Age+Action virtual platform through August 31, 2022. All sessions will be posted the day after the live session takes place. You also can access the Virtual Expo Hall at any time convenient for you.
What do I need to do on the day of the virtual event?
On the morning of the event, you will receive a reminder with a link that will automatically log you into your account and allow you to access the conference. The system will allow you to enter each live session 15-20 minutes before it starts. After each session, the session will close, and you will be asked to rate it using the mobile app. Repeat this process for each session you wish to attend. After the event, you will receive an email with instructions to complete the conference evaluation.
Will I be able to see the presenters for each session?
Yes. You will be able to see all general session, plenary, and educational session speakers along with their presentations.
Can I share my virtual conference login information with other members of my team?
For every paid registration to attend virtually, only one device (computer, laptop, tablet, or phone) will be allowed to enter the virtual conference. The questions asked and the polling conducted within that single login session are all tied to the account of the individual who registered for the conference.
Can I access and view recordings of any sessions from the conference?
Your virtual conference registration includes access to all session recordings after the conference concludes. You can view any sessions you missed as soon as the recordings are made available.
I am a presenter. What do I do now?
An Age+Action team member will contact you with instructions. If you are unable to present live, you will be given instructions for recording your presentation in advance. If you have questions regarding presenting at the conference, please contact conference@ncoa.org.
