Can I bring a guest?

Yes! If you would like to bring a guest with you to Mexico, additional charges will apply. An additional fee of $420 will be collected during registration. This fee covers the cost of your guest’s all inclusive stay at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort during program dates.

Guests are responsible for covering the cost of their own flights. Ground transportation will be extended to guests if they are traveling with the President’s Club winner during program dates. The CARS air team can book your guest's flight, with yours, with the requirement of a credit card payment for your guest’s flights. Guests are invited to all meal functions and have the option to purchase activities during registration. 

What if I need to cancel?

What should I pack?

Resort attire is casual during the day. A hat is highly recommended as the sun is strong year-round. Don't forget to pack shorts, t-shirts, and swimwear. Bathing suit cover-ups and shoes must be worn in reception areas, restaurants, and lounges. Bug spray and sunscreen will be provided to you upon your arrival.

We highly recommend packing swimwear or lightweight clothing, and a hat, in your carry-on bag, so you may get comfortable right away upon arrival at the resort!

Casual elegance attire is recommended for the Welcome Reception, Dine Around, and Farewell Dinner. 

Attire Glossary

  • Casual Elegance: Closed-toe shoes, dress sandals, sneakers/tennis shoes, dress shirts with short sleeves, or collared shirts. No sleeveless shirts or flip-flops. Dress shorts, khakis, or long pants are acceptable for men. Sundresses, skirts, or pants with a blouse are acceptable for women.
  • Casual: Bermudas (long shorts or Capri pants), sneakers/tennis shoes, and sandals. Ladies must wear a bathing suit cover-up. No sleeveless shirts for men.

  • Beach Casual: Swim trunks, bathing suits, and flip-flops accepted. 

What does the trip include?


President's Club winners will receive:  

  • Round-trip air transportation between home city and Los Cabos International Airport
  • Round-trip ground transportation between Los Cabos International Airport and Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort for you and your guest on official program dates
  • Three nights accommodations at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort complimentary breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Minibar including beer, juice, soft drinks, and bottled water (refreshed daily)
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Private Welcome Reception and Dinner on Monday, April 4
  • Private Farewell Reception and Dinner on Wednesday, April 6
  • Choice of one activity on Tuesday, April 5
  • Access to the resort fitness center
  • Daily activities offered by Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort
  • Non-motorized water sports
  • All gratuities for hotel bellmen, housekeepers, drivers, waitstaff, and activities

     

What is not included in the trip?


Items not covered by the all-inclusive package at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort include:

  • Meals and bar charges outside of the resort
  • Tours and activities not included in the program
  • Telephone calls (local and international)
  • Laundry service
  • Spa treatments not selected as an official program activity

These items cannot be expensed.

The resort will keep a separate record of these expenditures for you, and will ask to settle your incidental account upon check-out. American Express, MasterCard, and Visa are accepted.

If a guest is accompanying you on the trip over the program dates, you are required to remit payment for the cost of their trip. This transaction would be completed during registration. If you and/or your guest are staying outside of the program dates, you will submit payment for those nights directly to the resort upon your departure.

What is the currency used in Mexico?

The official currency in Mexico is the Mexican Peso. Foreign currency may be exchanged for Pesos at banks, in airports, and at hotels including Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort. Most purchases may also be made in U.S. dollars. Please note, the exchange rate fluctuates daily. Visit www.xe.com for the most current rate. 

What will the weather be like?

In April, expect dry days and nights, with moderate-to-light rainfall. Temperatures range from highs in the high-80s to lows in the high-60s. 
 

What is the time zone in Los Cabos?

Los Cabos is in the Mountain Daylight Time Zone. When it is 12:00pm (Noon) in Los Cabos it is: 

New York (Eastern) - 2:00pm
Chicago (Central) - 1:00pm
Denver (Mountain) - 12:00pm (Noon)
Los Angeles (Pacific) - 11:00am 

What is the electricity in Mexico?

The voltage and plugs at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort are 110 to 120 volts AC, the same as used in the U.S.

Will I have internet access?

Yes, you will have complimentary internet access at Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort in guest rooms and public areas. 

Will my cell phone work in Mexico?

Email is the preferred means of communication, as emails do not experience the same high rates. The resort has provided complimentary internet access in all guest rooms and public areas during the program dates.

Before using your cell phone, ask your carrier to add an international plan to your service that will work in Mexico. International plans and additional rates added to your cell phone usage while in Mexico will not be reimbursed. 
 

What am I permitted to bring back to the U.S.?

At the time of publication, U.S. citizens are allowed a duty-free shopping quota of $800 per person, as long as the items are in your possession. Included in the exemption is a maximum of one liter of alcoholic beverages, if you are over the age of 21, and one carton of cigarettes. For a detailed explanation of the customs allowances, U.S. citizens may refer to customs. 

Should I tip or provide gratuities to anyone?

Gratuities have been covered for President's Club. You are not required to provide any additional gratuities.
