Elizabeth (E.B.) McCusker is an Assistant General Counsel with McKesson Corporation, a Fortune 7 company and one of the largest providers of medicines, pharmaceutical supplies and health information technology (IT) products and services in the United States. In this role, she oversees a team of attorneys who handle M&A, treasury, bankruptcy and credit and corporate intercompany matters for the company, working in close collaboration with Corporate Strategy & Business Development, Tax, Treasury, Finance, Human Resources and her colleagues in the General Counsel Organization. She also is responsible for managing the legal strategy, negotiation and execution of significant M&A transactions for the company, which operates in the highly regulated healthcare industry. E.B. joined McKesson in 2015. Prior to joining McKesson, she spent 4.5 years at Oracle Corporation where she was responsible for overseeing M&A transactions across Oracle’s diverse business units and 5.5 years as an associate at Bingham McCutchen LLP, an internationally recognized law firm, where she focused on corporate governance, M&A and securities. E.B. earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts and her J.D. from Villanova Law School in Pennsylvania.
Reza Taleghani is the Chief Financial Officer for Samsonite International SA. He also serves on the board of Samsonite Ltd. He previously held the position of President & Chief Financial Officer for Brightstar Corp., a leading global telecommunications services business. Prior to joining Brightstar, Mr. Taleghani built a 17-year career at J.P. Morgan, where he held various leadership roles in investment banking, commercial banking and asset management. Beyond his banking experience, Mr. Taleghani also served as the President and CEO of Sterling Airlines A/S, a leading low-cost Scandinavian airline based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Mr. Taleghani has a bachelor's degree from Brown University and a J.D./M.B.A. from Villanova University.
John Richards is a Counsel on the United States Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs, where he advises Chairman Sherrod Brown (D-OH) on the nexus of climate change and the financial services sector, clean energy finance, and energy efficiency and resilience of the nation’s housing stock. Mr. Richards previously served as General Counsel on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, providing legislative and policy analysis to Ranking Member Maria Cantwell (D–WA) and Democratic committee members, coordinating staff efforts on the committee’s Energy jurisdiction, managing Oversight and Investigations activities, and acting as liaison to various Energy sector stakeholders. From 2011-17, Mr. Richards was a political appointee in the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). Originally assigned to DOE’s Office of Fossil Energy, he was later detailed to the Office of the Under Secretary, serving in a Chief of Staff role in both offices.
A native of Vermont, Mr. Richards received his BA, in History, from the University of Dallas, and his JD from the Villanova University School of Law, where he was chosen by his classmates to be the 1995 Commencement speaker.
Deputy Commissioner Ernest F. Hart joined the New York City Police Department in March 2019 from the New York State Supreme Court, Civil Term, having previously served as a New York City Criminal Judge. In addition, Commissioner Hart is an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice at Queens Borough Community College. Before Commissioner Hart became a judge, he was Associate Dean and Chief Operating Officer of the Columbia University Medical Center/Affiliation at Harlem Hospital where he was responsible for supervision of academic and clinical service operations and strategic planning. Commissioner Hart began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorney’s Office and was chair of the New York City Civilian Complaint Review Board. He is also Chair of Martin De Porres Group and Family Services which serves at-risk youth. Commissioner Hart is an Ordained Roman Catholic Deacon, assigned to the parish of St. Mary Magdalene in Springfield Gardens, Queens.
Commissioner Hart earned a Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law, Master of Arts degree in Theology from Saint Joseph’s Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University. Commissioner Hart is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Queens, New York where he resides with his three children.
