Overview

 

 The AELP Autumn Conference 2021 is taking place right in the midst of activity arising from the Skills and Post-16 Education Bill which implements the reforms in the Skills for Jobs white paper. With more emphasis on accountability and simplification of adult education funding, the introduction of Local Skills Improvement Plans (LSIPs), a new Provider List and measures to enforce the Baker Clause, now is the time to bring the sector back together for our first face-to-face conference in nearly two years!

Kindly sponsored by City & Guilds, the Autumn Conference will offer an opportunity to hear keynote updates from the main regulators, a political perspective and from providers themselves, as we start to plan for what is still a very uncertain road to recovery from the Covid 19 pandemic which has ultimately changed the way education is delivered and assessed. Being in Manchester, the home of the first devo deal after 2010, the topics of devolution and the importance of ‘place’ will feature too. 

Returning to the fabulous surroundings of The Midland in Manchester, we expect again a top line-up of expert speakers in a series of ‘on topic’ plenary sessions and a great set of exhibitors will be on hand to show off their latest products and services.  It will also, of course, be a perfect opportunity for some much needed catch-ups and networking opportunities for us all.

The conference is for all those working in post 16 education, skills and training including all training providers, colleges, policy makers and consultants who want to keep their competitive advantage by finding out the latest developments in the sector should attend.

AELP Patrons

AELP Patron Members receive two complimentary delegate places. Any additional places will be charged at the AELP Member rate.

Non-Members

  • Delegate fee: £410.00 + VAT

AELP Member Pledge

Any organisations paying the non-member rate, and subsequently joining AELP within 30 days of attending the conference, will be reimbursed the difference between the non-member and member rate as part of our 30-day pledge.
