For our 63rd SCPMG Pediatric Symposium, the planning committee has been working hard to bring you world renowned experts in infectious disease and social adolescent medicine.  You’ll also learn how the SCPMG pediatric oncology group has evolved to become leaders in integrative cancer treatment and researchers in oncologic health disparities. Moreover, you can customize your educational experience by tapping into the minds of over 25 Pediatric Sub-Specialists!  In the spirit of adapting and utilizing technology to its fullest potential, we bring you this unprecedented opportunity to interact in small virtual chat rooms with Pediatric Sub-Specialists from: cardiology, rheumatology, dermatology, sports medicine, pulmonology, neurology, and many more.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES


At the end of this activity, learners will be able to:

  • Advise parents on the vaccines for Covid-19 and work with those that are vaccine hesitant
  • Appropriately refer patients for suspicion of malignancy in childhood cancers
  • Identify health disparities in pediatric oncology to improve patient outcomes
  • Apply learnings from case-based sub-specialty discussions to clinical practice to improve patient care and outcomes
  • Communicate healthy parenting concepts, and modeling coping behavior to parents to help improve pediatric mental health outcomes
