The online AELP National Conference 2021 is focused on the support that skills training can give to the economic recovery as Covid restrictions are lifted and further sector reforms commence under the ‘Skills for Jobs’ white paper.
Debate at the flagship skills event will cover:
The AELP National Conference 2021 will consider whether we are on the right track in respect of reforms to apprenticeships, traineeships, adult education, English and maths, and other provision in the light of the pandemic and its impact on employment, especially for young people. A key question is whether programme design and delivery are doing enough to encourage and secure learner progression.
The results of the mayoral elections in May will also offer pointers to devolved skills provision in the future with candidates’ manifestos calling for ‘youth guarantees’ and more control over skills budgets. Delegates will have the opportunity to debate the latest developments including the devolved areas managing their share of the UK Community Renewal Fund as a possible pre-cursor to managing a share of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
A focus on quality is always a feature of a major AELP conference and this year the event coincides with the summer resumption of full Ofsted inspections and new provider monitoring visits.
An excellent range of workshops in addition to top-level representation on the plenary sessions makes AELP National Conference 2021 another event that you cannot afford to miss!
