What is the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit?

The Leaders Summit will convene more than 2,000 of the world’s foremost corporate sustainability leaders to discuss and debate the values of the UN, the future of multilateralism and the role that principles-based business can play in driving progress on the Global Goals.

Through a combination of inspiring plenary sessions, exhibitions, interactive workshops and networking opportunities, the Summit will feature innovative examples of how multistakeholder partnerships are unlocking new business opportunities and capital, while also driving impact on the ground.

For the past 20 years, the UN Global Compact has been building a global movement of sustainable companies and stakeholders to create the world we want. Now, we need the right kind of leader to take this movement to the next level. If you are a corporate sustainability leader, or aspire to be one, we invite you to join us in New York, June 2021.


When and where will the Leaders Summit 2021 take place?

The UN Global Compact Leaders Summit will take place on at the United Nations Headquarters and at The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, 429 11th Ave, New York, NY 10001. For more information on the venues, please check the venue page under the Get Ready tab.


What is the programme of the Leaders Summit?

The Leaders Summit programme is currently under development. Please check the Agenda tab for the most updated programme. Check back regularly as updates will be finalized over the coming months. Registered participants will also receive regular programme and speaker updates as they become available.

What are the costs involved with participating in the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit?

The UN Global Compact Leaders Summit is complimentary for UN Global Compact Participants, Signatories, Government Officials, and United Nations Representatives. For Non Business and Non Global Compact members the fee for the Virtual Summit is $199 USD.
 


How do I register for the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit?

I already registered for the in-person Leaders Summit, do I have to register for Virtual Leaders Summit?

Yes, they are 2 seperate events with different registrations. If you registered for the in-person Leaders Summit 2020, your registration will carry over to 2022. If you would like to attend the virtual event on 15-16 June 2021 click here. 
 


Is there any registration criteria for attendees?

No, the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit is open to all companies and attendees of all levels and titles. Please share the registration link widely. We want to make this summit as inclusive and informative as possible.
 


What will be the language of the Leaders Summit?

All mainstage sessions at the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit will be conducted in English at this moment. During our Global Town Hall sessions, these will be conducted in the working language of the country or English.

How do I access the sessions?

Leaders Summit will take place on a virtual event platform called Hopin. It is very user friendly and there will be full support on 15-16 June to assist with any technical issues. View the virtual guide and technology requirements. 

What is Hopin?

Hopin is a virtual live events platform with all the benefits of physical events that people love, including mainstage content, breakout sessions, face to face networking, and expo halls. Visit the Hopin overview and technical guide.
