April showers brings May flowers, and yummy vegetables! Join us for a morning program of Husky Plant Night, in partnership with our Plant-Based Living Series. In this family-friendly workshop led by Erika Bahler '10 (CAHNR) '12 MA, you will learn how to plant a container garden at home with either vegetables or flowers - it's up to you! This workshop will teach you when and how to plant seeds, type of soil, time to bloom and so much more!
 
Suggested Supplies List: 
 
  1. Seed Packet(s) of your choice – each packet will have around 50 seeds. Suggestions below:

    Herbs

    6 weeks to mature

    Vegetables

    3 to 4 weeks to mature

    Cutting Garden

    3 to 4 weeks to mature

    Basil Tomatoes Zinnias
    Thyme Broccoli/Cauliflower Cosmos
    Cilantro Cucumbers Sunflowers
    Chives Squash Marigold
    Dill Lettuce Bachelor's Buttons
  2. Bag of seed starting or potting soil mix - without fertilizer
  3. Container. Here are some suggestions:
