Joint Annual Meeting of CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholars and Jacobs Foundation Research Fellows

Meeting Dates: May 19-21, 2021

About the Joint Annual Meeting

Our aim in bringing our two groups together is to foster an exchange of ideas across an expanded reach of disciplines, perspectives and countries -- and to spark the beginning of some novel, potentially unexpected and high-risk cross-disciplinary collaborations that will take your research in directions you wouldn’t ordinarily have the opportunity to explore.

On May 19-21, CIFAR and the Jacobs Foundation will co-host an online discussion platform where you can freely gather, learn more about your peers’ work in other fields, and brainstorm exciting new ideas leading to joint research projects.  Teams and partners emerging from these discussions will have the opportunity to compete for a co-funded pool of seed funding valued at up to CDN $50,000 per initiative.

About Jacobs Foundation

The Jacobs Foundation invests in the future of young people so that they become socially responsible and productive members of society.
