UC DAVIS
National Veterinary Entrepreneurship Academy

July 12, 2021–July 16, 2021

Your research, your opportunity.

Turning discoveries into innovative products and tools benefits patients and moves healthcare forward.

As veterinary medicine becomes more advanced, it overlaps with human medicine in ways that improve the treatment of animals and people. It also provides new opportunities for veterinarians to commercialize their research.

Designed for faculty, postdocs and students, our National Veterinary Entrepreneurship Academy will help you gain the knowledge and networks you need to identify, develop and validate the commercial potential of your research or idea—to successfully move it out of the lab and into the world.

UC Davis has a rich entrepreneurship ecosystem that flourishes across our campus. For the past six years the School of Veterinary Medicine has been a strong partner to the Mike and Renee Child Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. We are delighted to now make this wealth of expertise available to a wider audience.

The academy will take place as a Zoom webinar, with interactive lectures, talks by guest entrepreneurs and industry experts, and individual and small-group activities from 8:30 a.m. to noon and select afternoon sessions. I hope you'll join with veterinary innovators from across the U.S. for this rich experience this summer.

—MICHAEL D. LAIRMORE | Dean, UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine
