Cancellation & Substitution Policy

NSC Impact Track registration is nonrefundable, however substitutions can be made. To transfer your registration to someone else or to change to a different track, please email request to impact@nsc.org at least seven days prior to the start of the track. Discounts are not retroactive for previously registered attendees.

Data Protection Policy

National Safety Council, its Third Party Service Provider and Registrant/Exhibitor shall comply with any applicable data protection legislation existing in all jurisdictions relating to the virtual Event. The parties agree attending/exhibiting at the Event may involve the collection, processing, storage or recording of certain “Personal Data” or “Personal Information” (as defined by applicable Data Protection Laws and referred to collectively herein as “Personal Data”) of participants. Where applicable under Data Protection Laws, the parties acknowledge National Safety Council’s third party service provider act as a “Data Processor” in relation to the Personal Data it processes and remains the “Data Controller” with respect to such Personal Data. NSC’s Third Party Service Provider undertakes that it will (i) use Personal Data only to provide and administer services as outlined in the applicable privacy statement(s) referenced below; (ii) process the Personal Data in accordance with NSC’s instructions; (iii) implement appropriate security measures designed to provide a commercially reasonable level of protection of the Personal Data; (iv) implement and maintain commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures, insofar as is possible, for the fulfillment of NSC’s obligations to respond to requests by participants of the Event (“Data Subjects”); (v) take commercially reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify Personal Data when it no longer is necessary to retain it; and (vi) ensure that its employees authorized to process Personal Data are bound to appropriate confidentiality obligations. Personal Data may be collected, processed and/or stored by NSC’s Third Party Service Provider or its third party suppliers in the United States of America, the United Kingdom, the European Union and the rest of the world. Participant represents and warrants it has a valid lawful basis for NSC’s Third Party Service Provider to process the Data Subjects’ Personal Data in connection with the attendance/exhibiting at the Event in accordance with applicable Data Protection Laws. NSC’s Third Party Service Provider processes Personal Data in accordance with the applicable privacy policies set forth at https://www.west.com/legal-privacy/.

Photography, Audio and Video Recording

Participants must follow the photography, audio and video recording policies at the event locations. If you need clarity around the policies, please check with event organizers at the event. NSC reserves the right to use meeting participant’s image or likeness for any current or future promotional consideration.

Code of Conduct

All attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and other participants at National Safety Council events are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event. We are expecting cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe and enjoyable event for everybody.

NSC is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for all participants, whether they are held in person or virtually, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, experience, or religion (or lack thereof). We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form. Event participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund at the discretion of the event organizers, and appropriate legal action will be taken against violators where applicable.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns relating to harassment, please contact a member of the event staff immediately.

Areas within each event may have additional guidelines in regard to appropriate behavior and discussion. Those guidelines will be enforced in a similar manner to this code of conduct.

This Code of Conduct may be revised at any time by NSC and the terms are non-negotiable. If a participant engages in harassing or unprofessional behavior in relation to the event, event staff may take any action they deem appropriate depending on the circumstances, ranging from issuance of a warning to the offending individual to expulsion from the event with no refund. NSC reserves the right to exclude any participant found to be engaging in harassing behavior from participating in any further NSC events, trainings or other activities.
