4th Biennial Family Violence Prevention Virtual Symposium

Friday, March 5, 2021

WELCOME!

The 2021 Family Violence Prevention Virtual Symposium takes places on Friday, March 5, 8:30 am-12:30 pm and will address violence and trauma across the lifespan – from child abuse to elder abuse.

This year, we will focus on how COVID-19, social distancing & isolation increases our members and their family's risk for abuse and neglect. We also recognize the urgency of economic, racial, and ethnic disparities in the time of COVID, and the impact that this has on abuse. We will address the role and responsibility of clinicians in addressing inequalities, abuse, and social justice to achieve health and well-being for the patients we serve.

KP CareActors will join us to simulate telehealth appointments and showcase counseling and communication strategies we can use with our patients and their families. FVPP Community representatives will also join us to share insights and perspectives as we navigate these unique challenges together.

We look forward to seeing you virtually!
