This is a high-level summary of content at Summit 2021. The theme is Amplifying community aspiration – Te whakarahinga wawata ā-hapori.
Attendees of Summit 2021 have two registration options. The funders package gives you full online access to six keynotes, workshops, the unconference and more. The keynote package gives you online access to six keynotes, recordings, and post-summit resources.
Funders can enjoy the first day of Summit 2021 at a regional viewing party or you can join us online.
Day one will look at how funders can contribute beyond money in an increasingly integrated world. International and local keynotes will talk about the value they add to their mission through a variety of activities. For funders, workshops will dig deeper into ways they can make a difference including impact investment; social procurement; governance and advocacy.
There are regional viewing parties for funders in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch on day one of the summit. For more information check our FAQs.
Keynote speakers will discuss the implications of our bicultural foundation; and how we can support sustainable and inclusive communities for Aotearoa to prosper. Our workshops will support funders to better understand and engage with Te Ao Māori; as well as hear from community voices on their aspirations and ways funders can help.
We will discuss opportunities and issues affecting us all, and how to progress the system supports needed for great giving. The big workshops will canvas topics like: data and evaluation; how to make seeking funding easier; preparing for and responding to crisis; and supporting a sustainable planet.
We’ll wrap up with an inspirational keynote speaker on a vision of a world where philanthropy and grantmaking as we know it is no longer needed.
We have two programmes. One for funders that includes workshops. The second programme gives access to keynote speakers, this programme is open for all.
