The Emirates Thoracic Society (ETS) was formed on 13th March 1999 under the umbrella of Emirates Medical Association (EMA) bringing together physicians, healthcare professionals and experts working in both pediatric and adult respiratory medicine. Since its establishment, the society has been promoting lung health in order to alleviate suffering from disease and drive standards for respiratory medicine by conducting scientific meetings, events, community awareness campaigns and conferences as well as collaborating with health organizations and societies in order to improve professional performance, develop and encourage skills, and enrich scientific theory and practice in the field of respiratory medicine. ETS launched its work through its specialist boards and committee members. Science and education are at the core of everything we do.
