Basic Information

What are the dates for the 2021 NAVDF?

The NAVDF will be held April 21 – 24. Following the live virtual event, registrants will have access to watch on-demand recordings through June 23, 2021.

What timezone will the forum be held in?

The forum will remain in Central Standard Time as it would have been if held in New Orleans.

Who can attend NAVDF?

The forum is open to veterinary dermatologists, general practitioners, residents, interns, students, technicians and anyone with an interest in Veterinary Dermatology.

When does registration open?

Registration will open in January 2021.

How much does it cost to register?

Registration costs can be found on our Fees page. Register by February 20, 2021 to take advantage of early bird pricing!

What is the cancellation policy?

All cancellations must be made in writing and received by the NAVDF office on or before April 1, 2021. Requests for refunds received on or before previously mentioned date will receive a full refund less a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be given beginning April 2, 2021.

Do I have to select my sessions during registration?

No. If you would like to build your agenda/schedule to keep yourself on track during the Forum (and not miss anything you wanted to see) you will be able to select your sessions and build your agenda the week prior to the meeting in the virtual platform.

What is the maximum amount of CE hours I can earn?

What requirements will need to be met to receive RACE credits?

NAVDF will be offering two types of RACE CE for the 2021 Forum: Interactive/ Distance and Non-Interactive/ Distance.

Interactive/ Distance - RACE CE: In order to be eligible you will need to participate in the live Q&A portion following each session. Each session will have a link provided for the Interactive Q&A.
Non-Interactive/ Distance - RACE CE: will be provided for those that watch the recorded sessions and take the post test.

There are a group of us who wish to watch the live-stream, will we all receive RACE credit?

Only individuals who are registered and have paid for the forum will be eligible to receive RACE credit.

Virtual Platform

What will the virtual forum look like?

We are building the virtual forum to look as similiar to the in-person forum as possible. There will be three different tracks (scientific, concurrent and resident abstracts), an interactive virtual exhibit hall, social networking opportunities, and even swag! Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks!

When will I be able to access the virtual meeting?

You will gain access to the meeting approximately one week prior. At that time, if you would like, you will be able to build your agenda and explore the virtual platform. You do NOT have to build an agenda to participate in the sessions. The agenda is there to help you keep track of the sessions you don't want to miss.

How long will I have access to the virtual platform and its content?

You will have access to the virtual platform through June 23, 2021.

Will Roundtables be available On-Demand after the live event?

No, Roundtables will only be live. They are not going to be recorded.
Summaries of the Roundtable notes will be available in the months after the Forum in Derm Dialogue published by the AAVD.
