FUTURE CITIES
VIRTUAL FORUM

5 November 2020, 9 AM CET

A growing number of cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region have embarked on a journey to become a future city – a thriving, sustainable and resilient urban space that offers high quality of life and equal opportunities for everyone.
UNDP in Bosnia and Herzegovina is supporting these efforts and we believe that it is the right time to present our partners with future-looking and innovative examples of future city transformations from around the world. Sharing of knowledge and experiences from champion cities will be first and foremost a learning opportunity for cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, inspiring engagement and more systemic work towards sustainable and regenerative urban models.

ABOUT THE
FORUM

As cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina are increasingly embarking on the future city journey, UNDP is interested to facilitate sharing of knowledge and experiences from champion cities around the world, which have moved beyond the smart city paradigm and shifted towards sustainable, inclusive and regenerative cities. Sharing such experiences can not only inspire cities in the country to embrace sustainable and regenerative urban models, but also leapfrog over a decade of "trial and error from smart cities” globally and help transformation towards people-centred cities of the future.
