EXTENDED STAYS

What is the room rate to extend my stay at the resort?
The table below shows the value of the SiteOne certificates based on the blended average of rates between February 1 – May 31. Rates for additional room nights and/or guest rooms will be 20% off public rates of the specific dates requested and are subject to availability at the time of the request.

Children Policy:

• Occupants 12 and older are considered adults and will be charged accordingly, with the exception of the pricing scenario below.
• Quad occupancy is allowed with 3 people ages 12+ and one child age 11 & younger– OR 2 people ages 12+ and 2 children ages 11 & younger.
• As an exclusive SiteOne offer, the resort will allow for a family of 4 in a room with two parents/guardians age 18+ and 2 children ages 12–17 years old. In this case the pricing for adults age 18+ will be $170.00 per person per night and the pricing for children ages 12-17 years old will be $130.00 per person per night (when sharing the room with parents or guardians).

Are airport transfers provided if I choose to extend my stay in Los Cabos?
Yes, transportation is provided if you choose to extend your stay at the Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos resort.

IDENTIFICATION

What are the identification requirements for Mexico?
A passport (valid for at least six months after travel dates or you may be denied boarding by the airlines) is REQUIRED for travel to and from Mexico. This is also the only allowable form of identification to re-enter the U.S. When listing names on the registration form, please ensure that you enter names EXACTLY as they appear on your passports.

If you do not have a passport or need to renew your passport: Rules and application forms will vary, depending on whether you are applying for a passport for the first time or if you need to renew your passport. For comprehensive information on obtaining or renewing a passport, please visit http://travel.state.gov and select "U.S. Passport."

Non–U.S. Citizens: Please bring proof of your legal U.S. residence (residence card, for example) along with your foreign passport. Visas may be required. Please contact your nearest consulate for further information.

What is the name and code of the airport I will be flying to?
You will be flying to Los Cabos International Airport. The airport code is SJD.

How do I get from the airport to the resort?
The Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos is providing airport transfers. You will see a driver holding a sign with your name once you exit the airport, after you clear Customs. Airport transfers are one–way with no stops.

What is the distance from the airport to the resort?
The resort is 40 minutes (27 miles) from the Los Cabos International Airport.

What are the check–in and check–out times at the resort?
Check–in is 3:00 pm. Check–out is 12:00 pm.

What are the bed types in the guest rooms?
The resort has an assortment of rooms with a king bed or two queen beds. We will do our best to accommodate your preference.

Does the resort have a spa and fitness center?
Yes. The minimum age to access the spa and fitness center is 18 years.

The spa is open 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (hours are subject to change.)

The fitness center is open 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. (hours are subject to change.)

What is the time difference?
Los Cabos is on Mountain Time and does observe Daylight Savings, however, they begin observing it on Sunday, April 4, 2021 whereas the USA begins observing it on Sunday, March 14, 2021.

What will the weather be like?
Los Cabos is a tropical desert climate. For up–to–the–minute weather information, please refer to your favorite weather app or website.

What is the currency in Mexico?
The currency is the Mexican Peso. The exchange rate is roughly 21 pesos to one dollar but tends to change daily. Check www.xe.com for the latest exchange rates.

The U.S. Dollar is widely accepted; however, exchange rates can be less favorable. Small denominations are easier for merchants to accept.

Will my cell phone work in Mexico?
All major cell phone providers offer roaming service in Mexico. You may need to adjust your calling plan accordingly. Be sure to check with your provider for details before you leave.

Is there a limit on the amount of goods or merchandise that I can bring back from Mexico?
The U.S. Customs allowance is $800 in goods per person, duty free, as long as you bring it with you. This is called "accompanied baggage." Additional goods beyond your allowable accompanied baggage will be subject to tax.
