What is Homecoming @ Home?

While we are unable to celebrate Homecoming 2020 in person this year, we are excited to offer Homecoming @ Home, a virtual celebration of Wildcat pride that you can enjoy with classmates and friends around the world from the comfort of your home.

 

Why is Villanova having a virtual Homecoming?

The health and safety of our Villanova community is our top priority. With the health risks associated with COVID-19, the University has limited the on-campus population and all campus events are being held virtually. Homecoming @ Home is an opportunity to connect in ways that are safe for all.

 

What is the virtual Homecoming experience, and how do I participate?

Most Homecoming @ Home events will be available through our social media platforms. Others will be available on Zoom, livestreamed or pre-recorded so you can access them anytime. Check out the full schedule here.

Do I need to register in advance?

Advanced registration is not being collected for most Homecoming events. Please note that the Virtual 5k does require registration, click here to register now!

 

What is the cost to attend Homecoming @ Home?

All Homecoming @ Home events are free, with the exception of the Run Nova Virtual 5k Presented by Bryn Mawr HospitalThe registration fee is $25 to participate, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting Villanova student-athletes. Virtual 5K participants will also receive a commemorative t-shirt and printable race day bib.

Can I participate in Homecoming @ Home if I don’t have a computer?

If you have a smartphone or tablet with access to the internet, you can still join the fun! Be sure to download the apps needed to join various events, such as Zoom and Facebook. For the virtual Homecoming Mass, review the livestream viewing requirements on the Mass page (forthcoming). 

 

How can I stay connected after Homecoming?

The Alumni Association offers events and opportunities throughout the year for alumni to network, volunteer, catch up with friends, give back to Villanova, act as ambassadors for the University, and much more. Join the Nova Network, one of our Regional Clubs or Affinity Networks, or our virtual book club. Visit our website for more details.

 

How do I receive information on upcoming events?

The easiest way for you to stay up to date on all our events is to make sure your contact info is kept current. If you have recently changed your email or mailing address, please take a moment to update your information by visiting villanova.edu/updatemyinfo.

 

How can I support the University during this time?

Gifts of all sizes make a difference at Villanova, and support from our donors has helped the University remain resilient through the challenges of this year. We encourage you to support the area that is most important to you. If you would like to help students who are facing unforeseen burdens due to the impact of COVID-19 and recent natural disasters, consider giving to the Student Emergency Fund. You can also give to the Villanova Annual Fund, which benefits all students at Villanova.
