October 6, 2020, 3:30 PM, VIRTUALLY

We are delighted to invite you to ICCR’s annual event―this year an online afternoon of discussion and learning, a bit of music and a much-needed chance to reconnect and celebrate with friends!

The event will feature a conversation about strategies to ensure Just Transition to a clean energy future.

We will begin with a discussion with
Elizabeth Yeampierre, Executive Director of UPROSE, Brooklyn's oldest Latino community-based organization, whose work occurs at the intersection of social, racial, economic, environmental, and climate justice.

We will then hear a live performance by
Raye Zaragoza, an award-winning singer-songwriter, who has been called “one of the most politically relevant artists in her genre.” Raye shares her unique perspective and stories through songs that are both inspiring and thought-provoking.

For a further discussion on the topic of the day,
Vonda Brunsting from Harvard's Initiative for Responsible Investment—and one of the foremost experts on Just Transition—will be joined by Emily Ahachich from Xcel Energy, Kevin Pranis from LIUNA, Shannon Rohan from SHARE and Cristina Cedillo Torres from Robeco, each with their own important perspectives on the issues to consider and the tools we will need to pave the road towards a clean energy economy.

Finally, we will celebrate the commitment and accomplishments of
Susan Smith Makos of Mercy Investment Services, our 2020 Legacy Award Winner.

The program will be followed by a virtual cocktail hour where you can catch up with old friends and make new ones in video chat rooms especially designed for this purpose.
