COVID-19 Advice

To reduce the risk of getting COVID-19 please practice good hygiene at the conference. This means:
• using disposable tissues or coughing/sneezing into your elbow
• disposing of used tissues appropriately in a bin
• washing hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water and drying them thoroughly, or using hand sanitiser:
– before eating or handling food
– after using the toilet
– after coughing, sneezing or blowing your nose
– after touching public surfaces
• trying to keep a metre away from people who are unwell
• limiting alcohol and drug use (as this may affect your ability to adequately follow the advice above).
 

 

We have put the following steps in place to help ensure the safety of visitors and team members.
These steps include:
• Placing hand sanitisers with supporting signage
• Placing guidance on hand washing in bathrooms
• Placing tissues and bins for their hygienic disposal, with supporting signage on coughing etiquette
• Thorough and regular sterilisation of surfaces, including bathrooms, benches and all touch points such as door handles, etc.
• Continued rigorous adherence to ISO food-safety management standards within all culinary services.

ACCOMMODATION
Please ensure you settle your accommodation account directly with the hotel in full on departure, including all meals, telephone calls and mini bar charges.

AUDIO VISUAL TECHNICIAN
AV Technicians will be onsite throughout the conference. Speakers – please ensure you download your presentations at the technician’s desk in each conference room prior to your presentation time.

CAR PARKING
Parking at Copthorne Hotel and Resort Bay of Islands is free of charge in the carpark located within the hotel grounds. (Parking is limited to 80 spaces - subject to availability).

CELLPHONES & PAGERS
These must be set to silent mode when the conference is in session. Don't turn them off though or you won't be able to use the mobile app!

CREDIT CARDS & PAYMENT
Accepted cards are Visa, Mastercard and AMEX. Payment may also be made by cheque, payable to “Workz4U Conference Trust Account”. All fees quoted are in New Zealand Dollars and are inclusive of GST. Payment for registration must be received prior to the commencement of the conference.

INDUSTRY EXHIBITION
The Exhibition will be held in the Waitaha Events Centre. An exhibitor catalogue is printed at the back of this handbook for your convenience. Please make every effort to visit the exhibition stands during breaks.

Please take time to view the poster presentations in the exhibition hall. They will be available for viewing throughout the conference.

REFRESHMENTS
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea, as scheduled in the programme, will be served in the Industry Exhibition Area.

The registration desk is located in the Treaty Rooms Foyer of
Copthorne Hotel, Waitangi and will be open at the following times:
Thursday 18 March 2021 - 7:30am–6:00pm
Friday 19 March 2021 - 8:00am–5:00pm
Saturday 20 March 2021 - 8:00am–5:00pm

NO SMOKING POLICY
Delegates should be aware that smoking is banned in public buildings and many hotels and restaurants in New Zealand, including the Conference venue.

SOCIAL FUNCTIONS
Social function icons will be printed on your name badge if you have requested or purchased social function tickets. Should you wish to book or purchase any additional tickets
please contact the registration desk.

SPECIAL DIETS
A separate table will be available for those with special dietary requirements. Please advise a member of the catering staff should you require assistance.

WiFi is complimentary at the venue.
