Excellence in Forensic Science Management through Leadership and Innovation

Effective May 29th, all indusry restrictions have been lifted with 100% capacity allowed. Gathering limits will expire and sector-specific protocols will be rescinded. With the exception of remaining face covering requirements for public and private transportation systems and facilities housing vulnerable populations, all industry restrictions will be lifted. ASCLD looks forward to hosting a full size Symposium abiding by state and national guidelines surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic!

As of April 27, 2021 the city of Boston and state of Massachusetts have released their reopening plan. Begining August 22, if public heath metrics justify continued safe reopening, industry restrictions will be lifted and 100% capacity will be allowed for all industries. All businesses will be expected to adhere to ongoing safety guidance, and mask wearing will continue to be required indoors.

As of March 15, 2021 the ASCLD Board of Directors is planning an in-person event for August 2021. We are closely monitoring all guidelines established by local and national governments and Marriott hotels in regards to large gatherings. Current event safety protocols include, but are not limited to:

  • 6’ social distancing in all public spaces
  • Completion of the Massachusetts Travel Form
  • Enhanced cleaning and electrostatic spraying of all public spaces
  • Facial coverings
  • Negative COVID-19 test results administered 72 hours before arrival in Massachusetts unless you meet the exceptions outlined below
    • Individuals who have received two doses of either the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines and can provide subsequent documentation
    • Individuals who have received a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and can provide subsequent documentation
  • One-way traffic flow in exhibit hall with 8’ heigh dividers between booths
