Code of Conduct for Participants

At the EuroHPC Summit Week 2021 and PRACEdays21, we assume that most people are intelligent and well-intended, and we are not inclined to tell people what to do. However, we want every conference to be a safe and productive environment for everyone.

To that end, this code of conduct spells out the behaviour we support and do not support at our conferences. The core of our approach is this: We do not condone harassment or offensive behaviour, at our conference venues or anywhere else. It is counter to our organisational values. More importantly, it is counter to our values as human beings. We are voicing our strong, unequivocal support of appropriate behaviour by all participants at our events.

The organisers of the EuroHPC Summit Week 2021 and PRACEdays21 are dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices.

Inappropriate behaviour can take many forms, including, but not limited to: slurs, jokes, derogatory statements, gestures, leering, stalking, and staring; foul or obscene language, offensive clothing, and pictures, drawings, or cartoons; violating personal space by impeding or blocking another person's movement or otherwise physically interfering with them; harassing photography or recordings; unwanted or offensive letters or poems; offensive e-mail or voice-mail messages, or social media postings; and micro-aggressions such as too personal and inappropriate questions. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants, or any inappropriate behaviour in any form.

We expect all participants – attendees, speakers, sponsors, staff, and volunteers – to follow this Code of Conduct during the conference. This includes conference-related social events at off-site locations, and in related online communities and on social media. Participants who are asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.

Conference participants violating this Code of Conduct may be expelled from the conference at any time without a refund, and/or banned from future events. If you are witness, subjected to inappropriate behaviour, or would have any concerns, then please bring this to the immediate attention of the EuroHPC Summit Week 2021 or PRACEdays21 staff, or contact us at ehpscw2021@ofcores.events

We invite you to help us make the EuroHPC Summit Week 2021 a place that is welcoming and respectful to all participants. The EuroHPC Summit 2021 and PRACEdays21 Team
