OVERVIEW

Ofsted expectations regarding off-the-job training, progress reviews and assessment practice

What senior leaders and managers need to put in place to ensure learners receive a high-quality learning experience

This webinar will examine the key parts of the ‘learner journey’ for apprentices through the lens of an Ofsted inspector, highlighting what are always the ‘game changers’ regarding crucial aspects of that journey such as initial assessment, off-the-job training, English and mathematics, progress reviews and assessment practice.

It will consider the sorts of questions you might get asked about your curriculum strategy and intent, implementation and impact as well as dealing with practical aspects.

OBJECTIVES

At the end of this webinar, you will have learned about:

  • The key constituent parts of the ‘learner journey’ for an apprentice and why Ofsted inspectors will focus on each of those parts
  • What mechanisms, processes and procedures you, as senior leaders and managers, need to have in place for each part of that journey
  • How inspectors will gather evidence for each part of the ‘learner journey’
  • How inspectors will use that evidence to feed into judgements about each of the four Key Judgements on an inspection.

Target Audience

This webinar is aimed at senior leaders and managers at apprenticeships providers.
