Naples

Why Go to Naples, Florida

Named after the coastal Italian city, Naples, Florida, is known for its luxurious but laid-back ambiance, fine dining, high-end shopping, and world-class golf. Often called "Florida’s Paradise Coast," Naples boasts 30 miles of wide, sugary sand beaches perfect for relaxation and a little fun in the sun. The calm waters of the Gulf of Mexico offer a chance for dolphin sightings and produce some of the best seashell collecting opportunities found along the coast. Boating, fishing, and diving are all easily accessible via the salt waters of the Gulf or the inland freshwater areas. Many museums, historic sites, and art galleries fill Naples, garnering it the title of the #1 Small Art Town in America by author John Villani.

When to Visit

The best time to visit Naples is between March and May when daytime temperatures hover in the 80s — perfect weather for the beach or the links. If lower temperatures are preferred, the winter months are a better time to visit as temperatures peak in the mid-70s during that time. Summer months are much warmer and busier with temperatures in the high 90s and relatively higher humidity.
