Well, folks, I’d like to tell you that it’s going to be sunny and 70 degrees with a light breeze while you’re in Plano, but the Colonel doesn’t believe in lying to his friends. Let’s just be honest with one another…it’s going to be HOT. Like really, really, really hot. But like I always say, if you’re going to be in Plano in late July, you want to be with 300 of your closest friends from around the world chattin’ about fried chicken!

Attire
I always thought a white suit, black tie, and a cane went well for every occasion, but I’ll leave the wardrobe choices up to you to be your original self and embrace whatever makes you feel the most comfortable. The welcome event on Sunday will be indoors only. The farewell dinner on Thursday will be outside for cocktails and inside for dinner. The farewell dinner will be followed by the after party, so bring your dancing shoes! All events are casual. No need to dress as sharp as me, but feel free to dress informal yet stylish.

Transportation
Below are some options for self-arranged transportation to and from the airport and hotel. Please note that taxi service is readily available during the day at the airport and it is suggested that you arrange car service if you are arriving or departing after hours (between 10pm and 6am).The approximate mileage from DFW airport to the Renaissance at Plano Legacy West is 25 miles. Depending on time of day, travel time can be 35 to 50 minutes.
