Meet the Trainers
Greg Alder currently serves as Manager of Curtiss Wright’s Plant Optimization group with over 30 years’ experience in the thermal performance improvement of power plants. His responsibilities include thermal performance modeling, and consulting services to electric generating utilities. Additionally, Greg has been involved in evaluating plant uprates, repowering projects, vendor claims for plant component change outs, plant test results, incremental heat rate studies, and lost power troubleshooting. Greg has extensive experience in developing and conducting thermal performance training programs.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Idaho.
Don Fleming is a Principal Mechanical Engineer in Curtiss Wright’s Plant Optimization group. He has over 30 years of experience in the field of thermal performance modeling. He is currently the lead programmer for the PEPSE, PMAX, and FAMOS software.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in General Engineering from Idaho State University. He is registered as a Professional Mechanical Engineer in the State of Idaho.
Justin is an Engineering Services Supervisor within Curtiss-Wright’s plant optimization team with over 12 years of experience. He graduated from Idaho State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and is a Professional Engineer (P.E.). He has extensive knowledge and use of Curtiss-Wright’s FAMOS suite of products.
