Poster Presentation Guidelines 

Submissions and Approvals

• Send electronic versions of poster and executive summary proposals to catherine.dower@kp.org no later than April 1, 2019.
• NPCS will notify applicants by April 10, 2019. If approved, you should then work with your printer to produce your poster.
• Only approved posters and executive summaries will be displayed at the conference.

Poster Content

• Themes: Building the Future of Nursing; Creating a Culture of Excellence
• Suggested Categories of Poster Content: Title, Purpose/Objectives, Process/Research Design/Program Description, Results/Evaluation, Conclusions, Future
• If you are submitting a poster that was previously displayed elsewhere, you are responsible for knowing and adhering to any copyright limitations.
• Include contact information: Name; email; and KP region, affiliation or site

Poster Layout & Design

• Please use KP poster template (regional or local) if possible. Finished poster size: 48 inches x 36 inches.
• Assume the reader is reading your poster from 3ft. away
• Use infographics to highlight important facts/findings
• Use bullets and numbers for easier reading where appropriate
• Ideas should flow from panel to panel
• Keep content concise and clean; avoid cramming too many figures or too many numbers in tables
• No commercials or ads on the presentation

Executive Summary

• Please complete an executive summary of your poster using the template provided.

Logistics

• Accepted poster authors are expected to register, attend the conference, and be available to answer questions.
• All registration and travel costs are the responsibility of the attendees.
• Set up (5/14 by 9:00am) and removal (5/15 by 4:00pm) of posters will be responsibility of poster authors.
• More information about poster delivery and set up will be available to accepted poster authors.
