Smoke Free Mental Health Summits Postponed
Comment from Dr Pooja Patwardhan
‘’It is with regret that we have to inform you that in the current situation of COVID-19 risk, CHRE (Centre for Health Research and Education) and the Priory Healthcare teams have taken a decision to postpone the three ‘Smokefree Mental Health’ Summits. These were planned for the 5th, 12th and 20th May at Llanarth, Roehampton and Stockton Hall respectively with the hope of supporting and empowering Priory healthcare staff from various Priory sites across UK to go smokefree sustainably.
All the healthcare sites going smokefree still remains a key priority for Priory; and CHRE is committed to providing support for the same. Hence CHRE team will also consider alternative training solutions using tools such as webinars if the summits get too delayed due to public health concerns.
Priory Healthcare hope to keep the momentum of the smokefree work. Please feel free to contact Dr Pooja or Dr Sud at CHRE if you need any urgent bespoke support till we can plan the further steps. They can be reached at a dedicated email address smokefreepriory@chre-uk.com.
In the meantime, good luck to us all in this global battle with the Corona virus…take care! ‘’
